Koesio Stadium Project Abandoned in Valence; Georges-Pompidou Stadium to Be Renovated by 2028 for €3.8m

The proposed Koesio stadium project near the Valence-TGV train station has been officially abandoned due to high costs and regulatory constraints. The decision was made by the local authorities in favor of renovating the existing Georges-Pompidou stadium, which is scheduled for completion by September 2028. The CEO of Koesio indicated that this decision reflects a pragmatic approach to the challenges faced in the project. Additionally, it has been noted that by 2030, the Pompidou stadium will no longer feature an athletics track, as the facilities will be relocated to the Briffaut stadium.
