Prime Minister Fumio Kishida hosted an event in Tokyo on September 11, 2024, to honor about 150 members of the Japanese Paralympic team, who won 41 medals, including 14 gold, at the Paris Paralympic Games 2024. The team surpassed their performance at the Tokyo Games, achieving the highest number of prizes at an overseas event. Kishida presented certificates of appreciation to the athletes, thanking them for their contributions.
