A U.S. Park Police officer was injured after being struck by a vehicle, which subsequently fled the scene, at 12th St and Constitution Ave NW, Washington D.C., on Wednesday. The incident occurred around noon when the officer, who was in the National Mall, was hit during a traffic stop. A manhunt is currently underway for a white Hyundai involved in the incident. The officer was medevaced to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities, including the U.S. Park Police, are investigating the hit-and-run collision, which involved three individuals in the fleeing vehicle.
