The U.S. Department of Justice has settled allegations of Covid-19 fraud against CityMD for $12 million. The allegations, initially brought to light by Stephen Kitzinger, a CityMD patient, claimed that the company obtained fraudulent government reimbursements for Covid tests by submitting false claims to a program designated for uninsured patients, even when their patients had health insurance, over a period of two years. As a reward for his whistleblowing efforts, Kitzinger will receive over $2 million of the settlement.
