US Ambassador Huckabee: US Can Negotiate with Houthis Without Israel, Trump Orders Gaza Aid Excluding Hamas, Iran Military Option Remains

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee stated that the United States does not require Israeli approval to negotiate a ceasefire deal with Yemen's Houthi movement. He emphasized that American military responses would be based on threats to U.S. citizens rather than Israeli concerns.

Ambassador Huckabee also dismissed reports of a rift between President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling such claims reckless. President Trump has ordered humanitarian aid to be sent to Gaza regardless of whether a ceasefire is reached, with a clear directive to ensure that aid does not fall into the hands of Hamas. The White House reiterated that the aid must be delivered responsibly to avoid benefiting terrorist groups. Huckabee further noted that there is no future for Hamas ruling Gaza and blamed Hamas for the failure to reach an agreement. The U.S. is open to allowing Gaza residents who wish to leave to do so. Regarding Iran, Huckabee affirmed that the U.S. would not accept any agreement that allows Iran to develop nuclear capabilities and warned that Israel's military option against Iran remains on the table even if an agreement is reached with Tehran. He also indicated that military action against Iran depends on Iran's behavior and responses. Huckabee reassured Israel of President Trump's continued support, stating that Trump remains committed to the U.S.-Israel alliance.
