President Erdogan Vows to Prevent New Sykes-Picot Order at Islamic Cooperation Meeting, Warns Netanyahu, Outlines Syria Red Lines and Economic Plans

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking at the 51st session of the Islamic Cooperation Organization Foreign Ministers Council, firmly stated that Turkey will not allow the establishment of a new Sykes-Picot order in the Middle East, warning against borders being drawn in blood. Erdogan emphasized the region's intolerance for renewed conflict and called on those with influence over Israel to reject what he described as Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's provocative rhetoric. He also highlighted Turkey's opposition to the punishment of Gaza's population through starvation, state and settler terrorism in the West Bank, and threats to Al-Aqsa Mosque. In a subsequent address, Erdogan reaffirmed Turkey's clear red lines regarding Syria, declaring Ankara will not tolerate any plan that legitimizes terrorist organizations or their affiliates. He proposed the implementation of economic initiatives such as free trade zones, logistics hubs, and border markets in northern Syria to support Syria's post-Assad recovery while maintaining a firm stance against terrorism in the region.
