Pakistan Claims Downing Six Indian Jets Including Rafale, MiG-29, Su-30 and One Drone; Shoots Down 12 Indian Drones, Injures Soldiers

Pakistan's military has claimed it shot down six Indian aircraft, including five fighter jets and one unmanned drone, according to multiple statements to Reuters by Pakistani officials. The five jets reportedly downed were three Dassault Rafale, one Su-30 MKI, and one MiG-29, all flown by India. Pakistani military spokespeople stated that these aircraft were shot down while in Indian airspace. Additionally, Pakistan's air defense intercepted and neutralized 12 Indian drones over various locations, including near Karachi and Lahore. One of these drones attacked a military target near Lahore, injuring four Pakistani army personnel and causing damage to military equipment. The drones reportedly included Israeli-made Harop loitering munitions. These developments come amid escalating hostilities between the nuclear-armed neighbors. India has evacuated thousands of people from villages near the disputed Kashmir frontier. Pakistani officials have emphasized their capability and resolve to counter such threats.
