Her remarks were made at a meeting of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. Additionally, the U.N. report highlighted the dire situation in Gaza, noting that over 4,000 children and pregnant or nursing women have been diagnosed with acute malnutrition since the ceasefire began, and that 50,000 children have been born amidst limited growth prospects. The report also mentioned the physical and psychological abuse of Palestinian prisoners and health issues faced by children due to water contamination, cold, and hunger.
