This statement contradicts Trump's announcement of an Oman-mediated ceasefire aimed at stopping Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea. Amid escalating tensions, Israel conducted airstrikes on Sana'a International Airport, destroying three civilian aircraft and causing significant damage. The Houthis responded by launching a drone and missile attack on Israel's Ramon Airport and other targets, including a U.S. aircraft carrier in the Red Sea, claiming these actions occurred before the ceasefire announcement. The attacks resulted in 3 killed and 54 injured in Sana'a and Amran, and 7 killed and 94 injured in Hodeidah and Sana'a over the past 24 hours. The ceasefire, facilitated by Oman, is intended to ensure freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait. However, the Houthis have declared they will continue military operations against Israel until the conflict in Gaza ends, highlighting ongoing regional tensions despite the U.S.-Houthi agreement. A Houthi missile was intercepted over Saudi Arabia, and the group released a video threatening further attacks on Israeli airports. The UN, Saudi Arabia, and Iran have applauded the ceasefire.
