Ethereum Layer 2 project Fhenix has raised $15 million in Series A funding to advance its mission of bringing confidentiality to Ethereum through fully homomorphic encryption (FHE). The funding round saw participation from investors including DAO5, Hack VC, Foresight Ventures, and Amber Group. Fhenix has also launched its initial testnet, Helium, which aims to enable the development of confidential smart contracts. The project is expected to accelerate the arrival of truly confidential smart contracts, leveraging its EVM-equivalent FHE Layer 2 technology.
