The European Investment Fund (EIF) has made significant commitments to boost infrastructure funds focused on decarbonisation. EIF has signed a €150m cornerstone commitment for a fund aimed at accelerating the green transition. Additionally, EIF has committed €60 million to FutureEnergy_VC for driving digital innovation in key sectors. Moreover, the EIB Group has launched a new €200 million Cleantech Co-Investment Facility to co-invest equity in European greentech companies. IFC has also joined global partners to support clean energy companies in Southeast Asia through an investment in Clime Capital's fund for accelerating climate financing. The global pledge on renewables and energy efficiency, led by the EU, aims to triple renewable energy capacity to over 11,000 GW and increase energy efficiency gains to 4 percent a year by 2030.
