A four-man crew of astronauts from Turkey, Italy, and Sweden safely returned to Earth after a two-week visit to the International Space Station (ISS). The mission, arranged at commercial expense by Axiom Space, concluded with a splashdown off the coast of Daytona, Florida on Friday morning. This marked Turkey's first astronaut returning from space. Meanwhile, the European Space Agency released an updated image of the eruption site in Iceland, captured by the SENTINEL-2 satellite of the Copernicus EU at 13:04, seven hours after the eruption commenced. Additionally, the Exp 70 crew was researching bone cells and optical fibers on the ISS when the Axiom Space crew splashed down.
This week, our newest @NASAEarth-observing satellite, PACE, launched, the #Ax3 crew splashed down, and our Juno spacecraft made its closest flyby of Jupiter’s volcanic moon Io. For more space and aeronautics in your life: https://t.co/MyG37QzGhO https://t.co/DHLExpmOcJ
NASA's Juno Mission recently captured this spectacular shot of Jupiter's moon Io — the most volcanically active world in the solar system with hundreds of volcanoes, some erupting lava fountains dozens of miles high. Io, volcanoes could power 100s of Earth’s. https://t.co/KQTCfZGo1G
