As temperatures rise, Utah's seasonal roads are beginning to open for travel. Crews from the Utah Department of Transportation’s Kamas office have started the annual process of opening S.R. 150 from Kamas to Evanston, Wyoming. Guardsman Pass, a scenic backway stretching through the Wasatch Mountains, has also opened for the summer season on May 23. This road, which is part of State Route 190, is narrow, prompting the Utah Department of Transportation to urge drivers to be cautious and obey all speed limit postings. Additionally, the seven-mile seasonal road leading from the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon to Park City is scheduled to reopen for the summer. Here is the status of all nine roads.
