Rocky Mountain Power and Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) are changing their energy plans by extending the use of coal plants. Rocky Mountain Power now intends to burn coal in Utah until 2042, abandoning early retirement plans and reducing clean energy commitments. TVA will retire its Kingston Fossil Plant by the end of 2027 and construct a new energy complex at the site.
