Bomb Threat on March 10 Targets Justice Amy Coney Barrett's Sister in Charleston's West Ashley, Citing 'Free Palestine'

The sister of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett, Amanda Coney Williams, was targeted with a bomb threat at her home in West Ashley, Charleston, South Carolina on March 10. The threat, received via email on March 8 just before 11 p.m., claimed that a pipe b-mb had been placed in her mailbox, set to detonate upon opening. The email also included the message 'Free Palestine!' suggesting a politically motivated and radical pro-Palestinian stance behind the threat. Charleston police responded to the threat on Monday morning and, after inspecting the mailbox, determined it to be a false alarm. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active. Amanda's husband, David Williams, mentioned an incident involving an unknown person attempting to deliver pizza to households related to Barrett over the weekend, which might be connected to the sender of the threat.
