Trump Envoy Witkoff Demands Iran Dismantle Natanz, Fordow, Isfahan Uranium Enrichment Sites, Rejects Weak Nuclear Deal

Trump's special envoy for Iran, Witkoff, outlined key conditions for resolving the nuclear dispute with Iran, emphasizing a diplomatic approach as the most sustainable solution. Witkoff stated that convincing Iran to abandon its uranium enrichment program would ensure it never acquires nuclear weapons. He insisted that Iran must dismantle its uranium enrichment facilities located in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan, and that no uranium enrichment program can ever resume in the country. Witkoff emphasized that Iran should convert its nuclear program to a purely civilian one, without any military aspects. He also noted that Iran does not need uranium enrichment capabilities to operate a civilian nuclear program. The envoy warned that the U.S. would not accept a weak agreement and would withdraw from negotiations if the deal is not strong. If the upcoming talks scheduled for the following Sunday are unproductive, negotiations will cease and alternative measures will be considered. Currently, discussions are limited to the nuclear issue, with potential future talks expanding to cultural and economic matters. Additionally, Witkoff mentioned plans to pressure Iran to stop funding and arming groups such as Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. He stressed the existential importance of keeping other issues separate from the nuclear talks.
