The Trump administration is seeking additional funding from Congress to increase detention capacity and has already engaged other federal agencies to assist in providing more bed space. The administration has also introduced a self-deportation app to encourage voluntary departures, and White House border czar Tom Homan has been actively involved in these efforts.
