Durbin's letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel requests immediate action and information on steps being taken to protect judges and prevent further threats. He also emphasized the essential role of the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) in safeguarding the judiciary and referenced a recent resignation letter sent by USMS Acting Director Mark P. Pittella to employees.

Attorney General Pam Bondi stated she is aware of the reports and is in the process of learning more about the incidents. She indicated that the DOJ has not yet issued a formal response but will do so.
