U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar, R-Texas, says that more military zones could be established along the South Texas border. “The assessment has been done, but no decision has been made. What they’re looking for is, as you know, is they got to find public land.”
A South Texas congressman on Wednesday told Border Report that more military zones could be established on the South Texas border. And military Stryker vehicles and soldiers are heading to Laredo.
Cuellar, who sits on the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee, said the military is considering extending military bases to borderlands in Webb, Zapata and Starr counties.
