NORAD F-16 Intercepts Civilian Plane After Fifth Bedminster Airspace Breach

A U.S. F-16 fighter jet intercepted a civilian aircraft that entered temporarily restricted airspace over former President Donald Trump’s golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, at about 2:39 p.m. Eastern on 5 July, according to the North American Aerospace Defense Command.

NORAD said the warplane executed a “head-butt” maneuver to draw the pilot’s attention before safely escorting the general-aviation aircraft out of the area. The incident was the fifth unauthorized incursion into the Bedminster no-fly zone on Saturday. No injuries or damage were reported, and the White House declined to comment. NORAD urged private pilots to review flight advisories before operating near the restricted zone.
