New Jersey June 10 GOP Primary: Ciattarelli Leads, Spadea at 23%, Early Voting Starts June 3

The New Jersey gubernatorial primary is scheduled for June 10, 2025, with the last day to register to vote being May 20. Voters can register online or change party affiliation to Republican ahead of the primary. In the GOP race for governor, Jack Ciattarelli leads with 54% support, followed by Bill Spadea at 23%, Bramnick at 10%, and Kranjac at 2%, according to a May 8 internal poll by National Research. Bill Spadea, an America First candidate, has been actively campaigning and criticizing his opponents, including former President Donald Trump, during debates. On the Democratic side, the primary features multiple candidates, with South Jersey accounting for approximately 25% of the vote. A candidate could potentially win with as little as 22% of the statewide vote in a six-way primary, assuming Steve Sweeney, who has the official county endorsement in Atlantic County, averages 10% elsewhere. Sweeney would need about 60% of the vote in several South Jersey counties, including Camden, Gloucester, Salem, Cumberland, Atlantic, Burlington, and Cape May, to secure a win. Early voting is set to begin on June 3 and continue through June 8.
