Carmel Catholic School, Mendel Catholic High School, and St. Gabriel Catholic School.

The confirmation came amidst a flurry of interest from Chicago's baseball community following the announcement of Pope Leo XIV's election. The White Sox celebrated the news by displaying a message at Guaranteed Rate Field, stating 'Hey Chicago, he's a Sox fan.' This was in response to an earlier claim by the Cubs, who had displayed a message at Wrigley Field asserting that the Pope was a Cubs fan. Pope Leo XIV also taught at St. Rita High School on Chicago's South Side.
