Photographers Konstantin and Vlada Liberov have documented the aftermath, showing bodies of civilians in the streets and under rubble. Approximately 100 Ukrainian civilians remain trapped in the city, as Russian forces refuse to allow them to leave and have threatened to shoot them, according to Kharkiv Oblast Governor Oleh Syniehubov. The city, once home to 17,000 people, has been largely destroyed as part of Russia's efforts to create a 'sanitary zone'.
