US Military Prepared to Send ATACMS Missiles to Ukraine Pending Approval: Bloomberg

The US military is prepared to send long-range ATACMS missiles armed with cluster munitions to Ukraine once President Joe Biden approves the transfer, according to Bloomberg. Ukraine's Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksiy Danilov, stated that Ukraine will not use the missiles on Russian territory, as they have agreements with their partners regarding this issue. Although the US has not officially announced the sending or pledge of ATACMS missiles to Ukraine, several news networks have reported it. There is a possibility that the missiles are being sent now and will be announced after they are used on the battlefield. The US Department of Defense has confirmed its readiness to transfer ATACMS missiles to Ukraine once President Biden makes the decision. However, Secretary of Defense Austin has stated that there is currently nothing to announce regarding the provision of ATACMS to Ukraine, and he does not expect this to change until there is battlefield use by the Ukrainians.
