Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada received draft law No. 13356 on 11 June 2025 that would establish a national cryptocurrency reserve focused on Bitcoin.

The proposal designates digital assets as part of the country’s state reserves and authorizes the National Bank of Ukraine to decide when and how much Bitcoin to hold. If enacted, the measure would make Ukraine one of the first nations to formalize Bitcoin as a sovereign reserve asset, broadening the composition of its official holdings beyond traditional currencies and gold.
