Russian FPV Drones Hit Proliska Convoy Under White Flag in Donetsk, Injuring Yevhen Tkachov During Easter Truce

On the morning of April 20, Russian forces attacked a humanitarian evacuation vehicle belonging to the Proliska mission with FPV drones near the village of Zorya, close to Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast, during a self-declared 30-hour "Easter truce." The vehicle was reportedly operating under a white flag and was evacuating civilians when it was targeted.

Volunteer Yevhen Tkachov, who was driving the vehicle, was injured by a fragmentation drone. A woman passenger was also injured and is currently hospitalized with her husband. According to reports and Radio Svoboda footage, three consecutive FPV drone strikes targeted the evacuation vehicle and nearby people.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that, despite Ukraine's declaration to mirror Russia's truce, Russian forces increased their attacks from 10:00 a.m., including intensified shelling and a twofold increase in the use of kamikaze and FPV drones. As of noon, 26 Russian assault operations had been recorded, with heavy weapons active in the Pokrovsk and Siversk directions and other frontline areas. Russian forces were reportedly forbidden from engaging during the truce.
