The Institute for the Study of War has reported that the Russian Black Sea Fleet's 810th Marine Brigade has confirmed the deliberate use of chemical weapons against Ukrainian forces in violation of the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. The use of prohibited chemical weapons by Russian naval infantry units in the village of Krynky, 30 kilometers NE of Kherson, has been confirmed. Additionally, there are reports of white phosphorus and aerosol CS gas being used by Russian forces in Kupyansk, which is prohibited under the Chemical Weapons Convention. Both sides have been accused of using tear gas in the conflict.
