German defense company Rheinmetall has secured a contract to supply several tens of thousands of various types of ammunition to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2025. The contract, valued at €100 million, involves the delivery of tens of thousands of projectiles under a framework agreement with the Bundeswehr. The order comes as Ukraine continues to push the American defense industrial base to produce high quantities of weapons in a short amount of time. Meanwhile, French defense company Nexter plans to produce 120,000 shells per year by 2025, with plans to deliver 3,000 shells a month to Ukraine starting next month.
