Russian President Putin has sparked controversy by blaming Poland for Hitler's invasion in WWII, drawing parallels to his justification for Russia's invasion of Ukraine. This has been criticized as perpetuating old Soviet lies and rehabilitating Stalin's image. Critics argue that Putin's rhetoric echoes his blame on Ukraine for Russia's invasions, raising concerns about historical revisionism and geopolitical tensions.
Putin is attempting to justify Hitler’s invasion of Poland because he is using essentially the same arguments to justify his own invasion of Ukraine https://t.co/WKpHeEH6h6
Putin has spent years claiming to be fighting Nazism in Ukraine, and yet he explicitly says that it Hitler invading Poland was Poland’s fault because when Hitler demanded a piece of their country they refused to give it to him. https://t.co/hxVuGBBXwc
Putin: Poland forced Hitler to invade Also Putin: Ukraine forced Russia to invade
After rehabilitating Stalin and his partnership with Hitler to start WWII and criminalizing mention of the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact, why not blame Poland for Hitler invading it? Obvious echo of Putin blaming Ukraine for his invasions of it. https://t.co/jvYXxfxqfY
Yesterday, Putin blamed Poland for being invaded in WWII. No surprise given Moscow invaded Poland w/ the Nazis & intentionally let them level Warsaw. After the W Uprising, Moscow went around Warsaw, abandoning the Poles. Putin is perpetuating old Soviet lies about “liberation.”
For those of you who think Putin was “lucid” and “statesmanlike” during his historical rant…He wants you to believe that Poland started WWII, just like Ukraine attacked Russia. https://t.co/da2DoBlINX
Tucker Carlson: So why did you invade Ukraine? Putin: https://t.co/l9QrRBlsYH
