North Korea has delivered more than 1,000 containers of military equipment and munitions to Russia for its ongoing war in Ukraine, according to statements from the White House and the United States National Security Council. The US directly accused North Korea and Russia of supplying weapons, condemning the move and stating that it would further Vladimir Putin's war. The containers traveled from Najin, DPRK to Dunay, Russia between September 7 and October 1. The US officials have information that North Korea expects to receive surface-to-air missiles in exchange for the arms delivery. The shipments were also confirmed by the AP and reported by various news outlets including Bloomberg, ABC7 News Bay Area, and The New York Times.
