Employees allegedly set the blaze in response to what they perceived as fascist raids by Putin's OMON forces, which resulted in the mass arrest of workers to be sent to fight in Ukraine. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that the area of the fire has grown to 50,000 square meters (538,200 square feet). Personnel have been evacuated, amid observations of an increasing trend of fires lately.
