On March 29, Russia launched multiple missile attacks across Ukraine, targeting the southern port city of Odesa, Kharkiv, Kaniv, Dniester, and Dnipro, resulting in civilian casualties and infrastructure damage. In Odesa, two guided missiles, Kh-59, were intercepted, but debris injured five people, including three children aged 15 and 10. Kharkiv's energy infrastructure and the Zmiivska Thermal Power Plant were destroyed in attacks on March 22, with five people injured in the region. The Kaniv and Dniester hydroelectric power plants were also attacked. Dnipro experienced a significant attack damaging educational institutions, businesses, a kindergarten, a college, and residential areas, with 18 people injured, including five children.
