A planned prisoner of war (POW) exchange between Russia and Ukraine set for January 24 did not take place, according to Andriy Yusov, a representative for Ukraine's Defence Intelligence (HUR), as reported by Kyiv Post and confirmed by Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR). Yusov, who also spoke to Radio Svoboda, provided no further details on why the exchange was canceled. There is an ongoing investigation into claims by the Russian side that Ukrainian POWs might have been onboard the IL-76 aircraft that crashed in the Belgorod region.
