German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is seeking support for Ukraine and NATO during his visit to Washington. He aims to highlight Europe's efforts to help Ukraine repel a Russian invasion. President Zelenskyi is expected to attend the Munich Security Conference and has requested additional ammunition and military equipment from the EU. The EU has made major decisions to open accession talks and provide €50 billion in financial assistance to Ukraine. Scholz emphasized the importance of sending a clear signal to Russian President Vladimir Putin that support for Ukraine will not waver. The EU's top diplomat, Josep Borrell, visited a training facility in Kyiv and discussed security cooperation and the supply of artillery rounds with President Zelenskyi.
