In a series of significant drug seizures, U.S. authorities have intercepted large quantities of narcotics in separate operations. The U.S. Coast Guard seized nearly 11,000 pounds of cocaine, valued at over $143 million, during a 59-day patrol in the eastern Pacific Ocean. Meanwhile, Customs and Border Patrol officers at the Roma Port of Entry confiscated $1 million worth of cocaine in a tractor trailer hauling cinder blocks. In another operation, six tons of methamphetamine were seized by officers at the Camino Real International Bridge in Eagle Pass, marking the largest seizure ever reported at a port of entry in a single enforcement action, with the meth having a street value of $117.1 million. Additionally, a shipment in Mexico was found to contain 6.5 tons of meth, disguised as a drying agent for piglets, showcasing the production capacity in Mexico and traffickers' access to global chemical markets.
