In two separate incidents involving law enforcement officers from Texas, justice has been served. Victor Godinez has been sentenced to death for the killing of state trooper Moises Sanchez in the Rio Grande Valley (#RGV). The sentencing follows a Texas jury's recommendation for the death penalty after Godinez's conviction. In a different case, a former Bexar County deputy has been convicted of murder for a deadly hit-and-run in California that left a father of seven dead. The Bexar County Sheriff's Office was notified by California authorities about their deputy's involvement, leading to the conviction and sentencing.
