Dallas, Texas activists have submitted more than 50,000 signatures to place a marijuana decriminalization initiative on the local November ballot. If approved by voters, Dallas would become the largest Texas city to decriminalize carrying less than four ounces of marijuana. While other Texas cities have legalized possession of small amounts of marijuana, Dallas has not done so until now. Decriminalizing marijuana is among the proposed changes to the Dallas city charter.
