Sonego and Shevchenko Advance in Moselle Open, Shevchenko Reaches Maiden Final, Defeating Herbert

Defending champion Lorenzo Sonego defeated 19-year-old Jordanian Abdullah Shelbayh 6-3, 7-5 to reach the quarterfinals in Metz, firing his 10th ace of the match. Pierre-Hugues Herbert won an all French affair 4-6 6-3 7-5 to reach the semifinals. Pavel Kotov knocked out No. 8 seed Fucsovics to reach his third tour semi-final. Shevchenko then defeated Herbert 6-4 6-4 to reach his first ever ATP final in Metz.
