Raducanu, who had been out due to surgeries, won the match 6-3, 4-6, 7-5. She will next face No.2 seed Svitolina. Another player, Amanda Anisimova, also made a successful comeback, defeating Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in straight sets in the first round of Auckland. Anisimova, 22 years old, expressed her happiness and pride in being able to play despite experiencing muscle spasms in her shoulder. She will now advance to the second round against Bouzkova.
