Uber is launching a pilot program called 'Uber Tasks,' similar to TaskRabbit, allowing users to hire people for household tasks in Fort Myers, Florida, and Edmonton, Alberta. Additionally, Uber is introducing tools to identify users who consistently give bad ratings to prevent unfair driver deactivations. The company aims to protect drivers from false allegations and crack down on users abusing the rating system for refunds. There are reports of a new scam involving delivery persons pocketing orders and preventing customers from getting refunds.

New Uber scam - delivery person pretends to complete your delivery and then pockets the order themselves. Then when you try to request a refund, it's not available because the delivery person "completed" the order. Nice!
