Astronomers have discovered mineral salts and organic compounds on the surface of Jupiter's moon Ganymede, suggesting the presence of an underground ocean brine. This finding was made by NASA's Juno spacecraft, which also captured images of Jupiter's volcanic moon Io. In addition, scientists have found evidence that remnants of a planet called Theia, which collided with Earth 4.5 billion years ago, may still be present deep within Earth's mantle.
