The LockBit ransomware gang has experienced a data breach in which hackers defaced its dark web affiliate panels and leaked a MySQL database containing operational data. The exposed information includes 59,975 Bitcoin addresses, 4,442 negotiation messages with victims, public keys, and other attack-related details. However, no private wallet keys were compromised, indicating the breach did not affect the core cryptocurrency holdings. This incident follows a previous multinational law enforcement operation over a year ago that had seized several LockBit servers and accessed source code and organizational information. The leak provides new insights into the digital extortion economy and the operational mechanisms of the LockBit 3.0 ransomware variant.
