Kia has shared details about the pricing and trims for its upcoming EV9 electric SUV. The pricing for each trim is as follows: Light RWD with a range of 223 miles will cost $54,900, Light Long Range RWD with a range of 300 miles will cost $59,200, Wind e-AWD with a range of 270 miles will cost $63,900, Land e-AWD with a range of 250 miles will cost $69,900, and GT-Line e-AWD with a range of 250 miles will cost $73,900. The EV9 is expected to have a 7-seat capacity, a 7.8-inch ground clearance, and a fast charging time of 24 minutes from 10% to 80%. It also comes with a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty. The starting price of $54,900 is significantly lower than Rivian R1S, which could impact Rivian's sales. Kia considers the EV9 to be a wake-up call for the industry due to its competitive pricing.
