Fiserv to Launch FIUSD Stablecoin on Solana by Year-End 2025, Partnering with Mastercard, Paxos, Circle, Serving 3,000+ Banks and 150 Million Merchants

Fiserv, a Fortune 500 financial technology and payments company processing over $2 trillion in yearly volume and more than 90 billion transactions annually, announced plans to launch a stablecoin named FIUSD by the end of 2025. The stablecoin will be built on the Paxos infrastructure and operate on the Solana blockchain. Alongside FIUSD, Fiserv is introducing a digital asset platform that will enable over 3,000 regional and community banks, as well as approximately 10,000 financial institutions, to issue their own branded stablecoins. The initiative aims to democratize access to stablecoin technology and integrate fast, low-cost, and interoperable stablecoin payments across Fiserv’s extensive network.

Fiserv is partnering with Circle, Paxos, and Solana for this launch, and is also expected to collaborate with PayPal and major credit card networks. Mastercard has expanded its partnership with Fiserv to incorporate FIUSD into its global network, allowing more than 150 million merchants worldwide to accept the dollar-pegged token through Mastercard’s existing products and services. Following the announcement, Fiserv’s stock rose 6.2% in pre-market trading, building on gains from the previous day.
