Disney+ is cracking down on password sharing, following in the footsteps of Netflix. Initially, users in Latin America protested Netflix's password sharing crackdown by canceling their subscriptions, but subscriptions have been rising again recently. The black market for reselling Netflix passwords has also been affected by the crackdown. Disney+ will start implementing password sharing restrictions in Canada on November 1, with a wider clampdown expected next year. Subscribers who violate the terms may have their accounts terminated. Disney+ has sent emails to Canadian subscribers notifying them of the upcoming changes. The crackdown will limit the usage of the service to a single household. It is not yet clear when the restrictions will roll out to subscribers in the US and elsewhere.
