Apple's new M3 Pro chip has 25% less memory bandwidth compared to its predecessors, the M1 Pro and M2 Pro. The M3 Pro also has fewer performance and efficiency cores. The lower memory bandwidth was repeatedly highlighted by Apple in its comparisons between the M3 and the M1. The M3 Pro chip is used in the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models.
Apple's latest silicon, the M3, takes a step back from the M1 and M2 in memory bandwidth: "Apple's latest M3 Pro chip in the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro has 25% less memory bandwidth than the M1 Pro and M2 Pro chips used in equivalent models from the two previous chips." https://t.co/R8r0PKtEkt
