Trump and Starmer Finalize US-UK Trade Deal, Cutting Tariffs on Range Rovers and More

The United States and the United Kingdom have finalized a trade agreement that includes significant tariff reductions on various goods. Under the deal, US tariffs on UK-made cars, including Range Rovers, will be reduced from 25% to 10%, and a 100,000 unit export quota at the lower tariff rate has been established for UK carmakers. Additionally, the agreement will see US tariffs on UK steel and aluminum eliminated, and tariffs on UK jet engines and plane parts will also be set to zero. The UK has agreed to reduce tariffs on US beef to close to zero, and a tariff-free quota for 13,000 metric tonnes of beef has been allocated to UK farmers, with no change to UK food standards. The deal, negotiated between US President Donald Trump and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, also includes a $10 billion purchase commitment from the UK to Boeing, and a reduction in UK ethanol tariffs, which are used in beer production.
