India and the European Union (EU) have agreed to enhance cooperation in sustainable water management, as announced at the 6th EU-India Water Forum held on the sidelines of the 8th India Water Week in New Delhi. Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary of the Department of Water Resources, welcomed participants to the event, which showcased government departments, academia, industry, and 50 startups, with initiatives like the Jal Shakti Abhiyan being highlighted. Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Dr. Raj Bhushan Choudhary, presided over the forum. The Bhu-neer portal for groundwater regulation was also e-launched during the event.
