MicroStrategy Inc. disclosed that it acquired an additional 1,045 Bitcoin between 2 June and 8 June, spending about $110.2 million at an average price of roughly $105,426 per coin, according to a post by Executive Chairman Michael Saylor.
The latest purchase brings the enterprise-software company’s Bitcoin stash to approximately 582,000 tokens, obtained for a cumulative outlay of around $40.79 billion, or an average $70,086 each. Saylor said the position has generated a 17.1% yield so far in 2025.
MicroStrategy has funded its accumulation programme through successive debt and equity offerings, turning the Nasdaq-listed firm into one of the world’s largest corporate holders of the cryptocurrency. Bitcoin traded near $106,000 after the announcement, with market participants noting advances of roughly 7–8% since rumours of the buy emerged late last week.
