Know Labs to Buy 1,000 Bitcoin Worth $105 Million, Shares Surge 182% as Greg Kidd Assumes Control

Know Labs, Inc., a publicly traded health technology firm listed on the NYSE American as KNW, has announced plans to adopt a Bitcoin treasury strategy by acquiring 1,000 Bitcoin, valued at approximately $105 million at current prices.

Fintech investor Greg Kidd, known for early investments in Twitter and Coinbase, is set to acquire a controlling interest in Know Labs and will become CEO upon completion of the deal.

The company stated that the Bitcoin acquisition will make up 82% of Know Labs' market capitalization once the transaction is finalized. Shares of Know Labs surged following the announcement, with shares up 182%, trading at $1.31 before being halted, and later resuming at $1.45. Shares were also reported trading at $0.87.

This move places Know Labs among a growing list of public companies adopting Bitcoin as a reserve asset.
